Following his visit Douglas Alexander stated, “This long established company has provided communities across Renfrewshire with employment opportunities for over 160 years and it is to their credit that they survived difficult times for manufacturing in the 1980s and through the financial crisis in 2008.”
“They have continued to establish for themselves an excellent reputation as a label material supplier around the world.”
Ron Easton, CEO of Smith & McLaurin was delighted to welcome the high-profile politician to his firm’s Kilbarchan HQ. He said: “It is crucial that businesses maintain close links with our politicians, so we are delighted that Douglas could find the time in his schedule to visit Smith & McLaurin.”
