General Information
Quality Assurance: Smith & McLaurin products are manufactured to high quality standards and
certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2000.
Slitting Capacity: Rolls can be supplied slit to widths from 60mm to 1500mm.
Tolerance on Slit Widths: Standard industry tolerance of +/- 1 mm (except for adhesive strip coating)
Strip Pattern Coating: .Many Smith & McLaurin products can be supplied with an adhesive strip pattern manufactured to a specific requirement. Detailed information and strip pattern design forms are available on request.
Roll Length: The minimum roll length for most products is 1000m; maximum roll length
is 4000m.
Order Quantity Tolerance: All standard orders - +/- 10%.
Splice Tolerance: Maximum number of splices will be 1 per 1000sqm. We actively seek to minimize the number of splices and will always attempt to meet any special finishing required by our customers.
Packaging: Products are wrapped in stretch PE Film and placed on wooden pallets;
Special wrapping available on request.
Environmental Aspects: Smith & McLaurin are actively involved in ongoing sourcing of raw materials and manufacturing techniques that minimize any adverse impacts to the environment. All standard products comply with the European Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and waste: Article 11 and acceptable levels of heavy metals. Smith & McLaurin also has FSC/PEFC dual chain of custody certification and is in the process of being ISO 14001 certified.
Storage Conditions: Store in original packaging
Store away from direct sunlight
Store at temperature of 22ºC (+/- 2 ºC) and a relative humidity of 50 (+/- 5%)
Rotate stock so that oldest material is used first.
Repack partly used reels of raw material in their original packaging.
