Smith & McLaurin Launches New Service Centre after Office Refurbishment

Smith & McLaurin Ltd have announced the opening of a new Customer Service Centre at their Kilbarchan site in Scotland.

 

As part of an ongoing site refurbishment program, the new Centre has been specifically designed with the objective of bringing all customer facing functions together to create a more cohesive and seamless customer experience. Bringing customer services, planning, purchasing, quality assurance, technical and finance departments into the same work space will improve speed and accuracy of response to customers, as well as improving communication between departments,

 

The project was also designed with the environment in mind and ticks yet another box in the company’s strategy to be the most environmentally aware coating business within the sector.

 

Bringing this vision to reality took less than three months thanks to the efforts of Clansman Interior Designs, who worked very closely with a development team made up of representatives from each department.

 

A short opening ceremony was held on the 29th of October, 2009 where the new office was officially opened by Roslynn MacKay, the wife of former chairman Ian MacKay who played a pivotal role in making Smith & McLaurin Ltd what it is today.

 

Managing Director Colin Gault stated that “By investing in this wonderful new facility we believe that we can offer even greater levels of service to our customers. Our core values of Service, Trust and Innovation drive the culture within the business and the Customer Service Hub further demonstrates our commitment to excel in these areas”.
